NEN Founded in 2002, National Entrepreneurship Network is a not-for-profit initiative of the Wadhwani Foundation, working to inspire, educate and support the next generation of high-growth entrepreneurs in India. Over the past three years, NEN's focus on introducing a new paradigm in entrepreneurship education in India -- and its innovative method of doing so -- has made it its leading catalyst on campuses across India.NEN's ultimate goal is to help launch thousands of new entrepreneurs,who int turn will create hundreds od thousands of much-needed valuable jobs for India.
Young Indians ("Yi") is an integral part of CII and comprises of a group of young Indian achievers and professionals below the age of 40 years from various walks of life. Yi believes that young Indians can contribute to the community and society at large. Yi is a forum that focuses on issues of national importance and motivates a generational change in the economic and social agenda of India.At present Yi takes up socially responsible and development projects in the areas such as Education, Employability, Environment and Healthcare. Facilitates youth to unleash their potential and create a positive impact. Promotes knowledge sharing, leadership, networking and skill set development amongst its members.
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) works to create and sustain an environment conducive to the growth of industry in India, partnering industry and government alike through advisory and consultative processes. CII is a non-government, not-for-profit, industry led and industry managed organisation, playing a proactive role in India's development process. Founded over 114 years ago, it is India's premier business association, with a direct membership of over 7500 organisations from the private as well as public sectors, including SMEs and MNCs, and an indirect membership of over 83,000 companies from around 380 national and regional sectoral associations.It also provides a platform for sectoral consensus building and networking. Major emphasis is laid on projecting a positive image of business, assisting industry to identify and execute corporate citizenship.
The mission of the philanthropic foundation set up in the year 2000 is to accelerate economic development in India and other emerging economies. This is done through large scale Job Creation and Skill Development by working across the higher education spectrum and leveraging Government resources and market forces to achieve scale.By forging effective partnerships, bringing an entrepreneurial mindset, innovation and successful business models to the social sector, the goal is to generate very large scale, quality, sustainable jobs and livelihoods each year.
